USI's management structure blends strategic oversight and a centralized financial and administrative structure with a decentralized operating structure designed to allow the operating units to respond to the day-to-day needs of their clients, insurance carriers and employees.

Centralized controls encompass broad initiatives such as national sales strategy and financial reporting that are balanced by the preservation of regional franchises and entrepreneurial drive.

USI is comprised of six geographic regions and three specialty companies:

USI Partner Firms offer clients an exceptionally broad mix of specialty property and casualty insurance, general P&C brokerage and related financial services.

Property & casualty partners typically serve clients' headquarters within their geographic regions. Although many of these clients operate domestically and internationally they are fully served by their USI broker-partner regardless of their home office location. To the extent additional expertise or regional access is needed to serve the client, the lead USI partner/broker taps into resources offered by other USI partner firms within the corporate network.

Many USI P&C partner firms also offer specialty programs, building upon areas of expertise they have developed serving niche businesses or key segments of industries.
